A Thankful Reflection from Zen Pet Care Solutions

Today marks Thanksgiving, a day of cooking, family, reflection, and (in my home) a very vocal cat insisting she deserves a piece of turkey. As I prepare my holiday meal, I’ve been reflecting on this past year. There’s many things I’m thankful for, including my family, my pets, and the pets that I’ve come to walk, sit, and interact with through Zen Pet Care Solutions. 

I even find myself smiling at the moment’s that aren’t so peaceful, like my cat waking me up at 4 AM everyday for breakfast. It’s not comical in the moment, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The pets that I work with bring that same kind of unexpected joy. Every week I get to meet and care for a diverse mix of animals, each with their own personalities and charm. It’s truly a privilege. 

This year I’m especially grateful for the growth of Zen Pet Care Solutions over the past eight months. Creating a business is exciting and empowering, but it’s also a lot of work. I’ve learned how to manage finances, navigate taxes, handle operations, market my services, and all the other behind-the-scenes tasks that come with building something meaningful. Even on the challenging days, the process feels rewarding. Creating something from the ground up has brought me a lot of happiness.

I’m also deeply thankful to live in Ventura. Every morning when I step outside and see the ocean, I’m reminded of how lucky I am to call this place home. Every sunset this past month looked like a renaissance painting! I’m thankful to work here and provide a service to the community that can help people and their pets live more peacefully. That’s something I’m proud of.
